In the latest induction heating application video from THE LAB at Ambrell, a steel mandrel is preheated for a hard facing application with an Ambrell EKOHEAT® induction heating system and a custom-designed helical coil. As you can see in the video, heating the steel mandrel took just over one minute.

It involves hardening a fastener tip with an Ambrell EKOHEAT® induction heating system and a custom-designed channel coil. As you can see in the video, heating the stainless steel/carbon tip took less than three seconds.

Induction Annealing Steel Parts Shortens Production Time [VIDEO]

In this application video from THE LAB at Ambrell, a steel tool is heated to 1400 °F (760 °C) for an annealing application. An Ambrell EKOHEAT® induction heating power supply is used. The red sight on the part is from a pyrometer, the temperature displays on the controller to the left, and there is temperature indicating paint down the part.

Induction Heating a Gear for a Shrink Fitting Application [VIDEO]

In the latest application video from THE LAB at Ambrell, a steel gear is heated to 400 °F (204 °C) for a shrink fitting application. An Ambrell EASYHEATTM 6 kW induction heating power supply is used. You'll see that temperature indicating paint -- which liquefies and turns clear when the target temperature is achieved -- is applied to two spots on the steel gear.
