Heating Aluminum & Carbon Fiber Coupons for Bonding

A research firm needed to heat aluminum and carbon fiber coupons to 392 °F (200 °C) for a bonding application, and they turned to THE LAB at Ambrell to develop a solution. THE LAB built three custom-designed single position multiple-turn coils for the application and determined an EASYHEATTM 2.4 kW, 150-400 kHz induction heating system would meet their requirements.

Bonding Steel Wire Embedded in Rubber Molding

A client from the automotive industry came to THE LAB at Ambrell with a bonding application. The rubber on their steel wire strip wasn't melting properly so they needed to add heat. This was a new process for the customer and they wanted THE LAB to help them prove out their bonding application.

Adhesive Bonding Steel Tubes to Plastic Tubes via Induction Heating

A manufacturer in the medical industry was seeking to heat steel tubes for an adhesive bonding application. The parts were stainless steel tubes on plastic tubes. Initial testing confirmed that an EASYHEATTM 1.2 kW, 150-400 kHz induction heating system equipped with a remote workhead was the right system for the application.
