We want to design with the induction heating coil as close as humanly possible for the process for the heating
Induction heating coils produce a magnetic field which is stronger closer to the copper coil. So if you're heating a metal pipe, for example, the induction heating coil should be very close to the metal pipe to get the strongest field to interact with it. If for some reason you're not allowed to have a very tight coil, then practical limitations come in the way, and you have to live with what's the closest you can get. But typically, in the design process, we want to design with the induction heating coil as close as humanly possible for the process for the heating.
