Ceremony Officially Celebrates Ambrell’s New Rochester, NY Plant

Ambrell, an inTEST Company and leading manufacturer of induction heating solutions worldwide, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to celebrate its new 80,000 square foot (7,430 square meters) facility in Rochester, NY. The $2.1 million project, which started in September 2017, included a complete company relocation from its previous manufacturing facility in Scottsville, NY. The new facility in Rochester is double the size of the Scottsville location.

“This is an exciting and special day for us,” said Tony Mazzullo, President of Ambrell. “We built this facility from the ground up and have many organizations and individuals to thank for their contribution and hard work.” Mazzullo continued, “From the electrical, plumbing, painting and other contracting firms, Rochester is a community where the construction trades are second to none.”

Mazzullo continued, “In addition, we are extremely grateful for the financial support from the City of Rochester, State of New York and Rochester Gas & Electric who provided financial assistance in the form of relocation grants and incentives that could total $1.09 million.”

Some of the organizations and key people who participated in the ceremony representing their organizations that supported Ambrell throughout the duration of the project included:

  • Joe Robach, New York State Senator for the 56th Senate District
  • Bob Duffy, President and CEO, Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce
  • Baye Muhammad, Commissioner, Neighborhood & Business Development, City of Rochester
  • Dana Miller, Director of Business & Housing Development, City of Rochester
  • Vincent Esposito, Regional Director, Empire State Development
  • Joseph Rizzo, Manager, Economic Development, Rochester Gas & Electric

One of the keynote speakers at the ceremony was Senator Joe Robach, New York State Senator for the 56th district. Senator Robach said, “Today is a great day and great win for everyone in our region, and especially for everyone here at Ambrell.”

Also in attendance and another speaker at the event was Bob Duffy, President and CEO of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Duffy stated, “I want to thank Tony Mazzullo and the great Ambrell team. Ambrell is just one more example of the great companies, technology and workforce we have here in Rochester.”

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, dignitaries and other attendees were given guided tours of the new facility. Included in the tours was a live demonstration in Ambrell’s applications laboratory where lab engineers demonstrated a unique induction heating application to give attendees a first-hand look at how Ambrell delivers a reliable, repeatable and precise heating solution.
