Video: Preheating for Forging to Manufacture Fasteners

A video showing induction fastener preheating for forging

Check out the latest induction heating application video from THE LAB at Ambrell. In this video, an alloy is heated to the target temperature using an  Ambrell EASYHEAT induction heating system. It is being preheated for forging or hot heading to manufacture fasteners.

Benefits of using induction heating for fastener hot heading/forging include:

  • Speed
  • Repeatability
  • Workplace safety with no open flame
  • Precise heating only heating the portion of the part that requires it

If you have an application that might benefit from induction heating and would like to take advantage of free lab service at THE LAB, just fill out this form to get started.
