Ambrell to Exhibit at MD&M West 2021

Ambrell will be exhibiting at MD&M West in Anaheim next week. The event will be held on August 10-12 at the Anaheim Convention Center and we'll be located in booth 1447. A manufacturer in the medical industry came to THE LAB at Ambrell with a heat staking application involving a arthroscopic device. They needed to use induction to bond the device's sheath to the collet. Fast, localized heating that didn't impact fixturing were key considerations for this company, and ultimately the rationale for choosing induction heating from Ambrell.

Heating Steel Cannulas for a Bonding Application

A medical customer came to THE LAB at Ambrell needing to heat steel cannulas for a bonding application. THE LAB determined that an Ambrell EASYHEATTM 4.2 kW, 150-400 kHz solid state induction heating power supply would work well for this bonding application along with a workhead and single-turn channel coil.
